Graston Technique – How it Heals Your Tissues!

Often with soft tissue injuries, once the acute phase is over, the swelling has gone down, and some time has gone by, you’re still not back to normal. You may experience continued pain, discomfort or a restricted range of motion.

Why is this the case?

There could be multiple causes but two common reason are:

  • A build up of scar tissue
  • Not enough blood flow to the area

That scar tissue needs to be treated so that your muscles and ligaments can heal normally. That is where the Graston instruments come in. They focus in on the scar tissue and break it up.

This treatment will then stimulate your body to send blood flow to the area. This is good because your blood will carry oxygen and the materials needed to remove the scar tissue.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to come in and talk to us. We’d be happy to talk to you about the Graston treatment and all the other options available!

Thanks!
